Three-time world champion and Olympic gold medallist. Won bronze in London 2012, M8+ event, before taking gold at Rio in 2016 M8+.

Lauren Henry
GB Rower
As a recent member of our club, Lauren recently won the spring 2023 Senior & U23 trials. She's solidified her bow seat in the GB W4x setting a new British record time in the W4x at the World Cup II in Varese, Italy! Lauren has competed in the 2024 Paris Olympics where her crew was the first woman's quad in British history to win gold. Lauren Henry has had a standout 2025 season in the Women’s Single Sculls, winning gold at the European Rowing Championships in Plovdiv with a record-breaking performance, and dominating both World Rowing Cups in Varese and Lucerne. At Varese, she finished over eight seconds ahead of the field, and in Lucerne, she posted the fastest semi-final time before comfortably winning the final. She also claimed victory in the Princess Royal Challenge Cup at Henley Royal Regatta, breaking the course record by seven seconds. Her unbeaten streak and consistent top-tier performances earned her the title of Athletes’ Athlete of the Month for June 2025.
