The Aves

We have two custom 2x/- aves (70-85kg), decorated in our classic green and red racing stripes, designed for the club in 2019.
Empacher
8+
A 2005 Empacher R86. Purchased from Oxford Brookes in 2017, this heavyweight 8+ has won Henley Royal Regatta. Has since been raced at the Head of the River Race on the Thames.
Vespoli
4+
A 2009 Vespoli 4+ (73-86.4kg) raced at, and won Henley Royal Regatta.

Senior 1x
The newest member of the UoLBC fleet! A Wintech International 1x (75-85kg) purchased in April 2023.
Phelan Hill
Novice 8+
Named after our alumnus, Phelan Hill, a GB coxswain who most notably won gold at the Rio Olympics in 2016. This midweight Vespoli 8+ was dedicated to his years of service to the club. This the first boat that many of our novices have sat in during their journey at ULBC.
"Triple Yellow"
4+
This Sims Genesis 4+ is one of our main novice boats. After spending some time rowing in Phelan Hill, our novices transfer to 4s, where they spend time learning about the importance in balancing and timing in rowing.
Senior Squads
As full members of Leicester Rowing Club, our senior members also have access to all LRC boats, blades, gym and wider facilities. This includes many more singles, quads and coxless fours.
