Our Facilities
Following a successful merge with Leicester Rowing Club, the University of Leicester boat club have moved the fleet to their facility. This allows all our squads to train together on the Soar and access the facilities offered by Leicester Rowing Club.
We have a variety of boats stored at Leicester Rowing Club. This includes some 8+, 4+, 2x and more! This facility means that we row in the heart of Leicester which allows for an easy commute between the University and Leicester Rowing Club.
We have a dedicated erg room on campus used daily by all of our squads, and access to the Universities excellent gym facilities and sports halls, swimming pools and spas. All university gym facilities were renovated with new equipment installed in March 2023.
Our senior members are part of Leicester Rowing Club, where they receive the highest standard of training programmes and coaching that produced the incredible talent of Lauren Henry.
We also have racking at Leicester Rowing Club for our novice boats. The Soar is home to our learn-to-row programme and our annual Leicester Varsity Boat Races against rivals DMU takes place.

All squads are equipped with Concept 2 blades, with our senior squads getting brand new sets of skinnies for the 2017/18 season.

As members of Leicester Rowing Club, our senior squad also has access to their expansive fleet, including over 10 club singles.
